J. L. Long Run
The 17th Annual Long Run is in the books, and what a night it was. Over 600 runners enjoyed the cool, crisp evening along the new course and there were plenty of huffs, puffs and smiles crossing the finish line to the beat of the amazing Buccaneer Band. This year's race raised more money than ever before and thanks to the synergy and energy of our amazing community, JL Long will continue to grow stronger.
Thank you from J.L. Long to our generous sponsors, students, staff, families, neighbors and volunteers who were the driving force behind another amazing Long Run. We look forward to breaking records every year!!
Congratulations to Lee's Long Run Participants, especially Mr Ramirez in 5C who won his age division in the 5K!

Special thanks to Jarod Frannea for his excellent sign celebrating our soccer stars' successes, Carolina Gonzales for being our cougar, and our Teacher of the Year
Ms. Gloston, for riding in the parade as our VIP!

Dad's Club Moves Mountains of Dirt
Big Cheers for the Lee Dad's Club for their work this August on expanding our school's garden beds and completing some repairs on our soccer field. Funding from the Friend's of Lee (through the woodrowfoundation.org) provided the raw materials for the garden beds and the mountains of dirt. Before school was back in session the Dads were hard at work building two new beds for our students to plant and back-filling most of the divits and cracks on the soccer field.
There is still some work to be done on the soccer field, and a future work date will be arranged to distribute the remaining mountains of dirt. If you would like to help out please email: [email protected]
