Our community leaders, members of the Lee Community and feeder pattern neighborhood associations are working together to promote and support Robert E. Lee Elementary.
Mission:
Local neighborhood associations served by Lee are committed to working with community leaders, city leaders, DISD leaders and administration, parents and other members of the Lee Community to work together to promote and support Lee (and in time, Long and Woodrow) by, among other things:
1. using existing neighborhood association communication channels to educate our community about Lee's successes, needs and events;
2. educating residents about what Lee and the rest of our DISD feeder pattern have to offer and plan to offer in the near future (with the idea that more residents in these neighborhoods view Lee as a viable option for their children);
3. provide volunteers and fund-raising for Lee.
Thank you Belmont Addition for hosting a Nov 2 Fall Party benefiting Lee Elementary
Thank you Melissa Kingston and Staci Howie for putting together an amazing Community Support Event on Nov 11th
Big Thanks to DISD Superintendent Mike Mikes, DISD Board President Miguel Solis, DISD Board representative (for Lee) Mike Morath, Dallas City Councilmembers Philip Kingston and Adam Medrano (who both have residents that attend Lee) and community leaders from all of our local neighborhood association and local merchants from the Lower Greenville Collective for coming out to support and celebrate our school. Thank you to all of the present and prospective parents who came out to Lee on a chilly Tuesday morning to participate in tours and learn more about the exciting plans for our school.
